Making a cot short and safe with Tuck-Inn® bedding (3 different ways)
When your baby is still very small, the advice is to make the cot short and tight. This means your baby's feet are only just off the foot end. Your little one is therefore at the very bottom of the bed. And by tucking the bedding in tightly at the sides and foot end, you prevent your baby from turning.
It is also important that your baby is not too hot or too cold. Depending on the room temperature and the warmth of the blanket, use it single or double. All our blankets are tested for their insulation value (TOG), both for single and double use. This value is mentioned on all blankets on our website, but you will also find it on the washing labels of the blankets. So you can quickly see how warm a blanket is.
There are 3 ways to make a cot short using Tuck-Inn® bedding
In the film above you can see the 3 different ways to make a cot short using Tuck-Inn® bedding:
1. If you have a newborn baby and only want to use the blanket.
2. If you have a newborn baby and want to use the blanket double.
3. When your baby is older, you can pull the sheet and blanket under the mattress to the desired length.
In principle, all blankets can be used all year round - with the exception of very hot days, of course. Use the thinner blankets in winter with a warm winter sleeping bag, for example.
